Disappointed, but not discouraged,
These ladies do not quit. They kept working, they worked hard through both games. I may be disappointed, but I will bet the lady Hokies are a lot more disappointed than I am.

Not for me. I am sure they have certain expectations so they are probably disappointed. Watching them come out of TSP today I could see they were disappointed. As a fan. You want your team to try hard and play hard. They have all season. They don’t try to lose. They gave their all. Some days it just isn’t meant to be. You learn, you move on. Still not sure what the right word is. Maybe sad for them. But definitely not disappointed with this team. They are a great bunch of ladies.

You win some, you lose some, and you lose some due to hijinks in the rain
I'm only disappointed for the team. They're battling pitch by pitch and posters are bemoaning their playoff status. IWBWIWB
The Poppin' It! checks will continue through post-season however far they go.

Don't think anybody meant they were disappointed with the team or the season. Just two days.

These things happen when the game is a round ball on a round bat and you're supposed hit it squarely. The difference between a pop up and a line drive and a home run are minuscule measurements of the bat on the ball.

then our hopes as fans (and the team) is that we could take the next step. And a big step towards that is to host the first round of the tournament. So, any disappointment or discouragement is NOT at the program as a whole. Softball is one of the best two programs at VT. Nothing but pride in that success. But, for the 3rd season in a row an inferior team beat us in a late season ACC series and all but squelch our chances at hosting the first round. Syracuse, Pitt and GT. That's where any disappointment or discouragement comes from. Hopes are still there for the rest of the season. But, we will have to break our trend to underperform in the ACCT to make it happen.

Cuse and Pitt were; neither of those teams were in the top 75 in the country
GT is #40 in RPI
They beat UVa in a game, they lost by 1 to Duke twice 14-13 and 6-5.
If you’d looked at their schedule you’d know they’ve had a few good wins and been very close to others. Unfortunately they got us

Just said they were inferior and also inferior to Clemson and UVA who we beat 2-1 One loss wouldn’t have been that much of a shocker. It’s really the MSU and Charlotte losses that are hurting the most now. When we get upset early season, people comment that it’s too early to put so much weight on those games. But, our margin for hosting is always very small. So, those games do matter.
