Tilly and Rose, Love that you stayed when you did not have to stay. Thank You so much. Two class acts! Especially for Rose not losing it with the egregious foul calls on her all year long. Wishing you both all the best in all your future endeavors, you are going to be great out there! To the entirety of the team thank you for a great transition year. So many young talented players out there, you are only going to get better. Enjoy your off season, have some fun, work hard and I persoanly look forward to having each and every one of you back next year to make another run at excellence!

These Ladies play a few more times. Glad they get to play together and practice together a few more times this year. Hoping CD can get a quality 5 and 1 in the off season, especially a 5.

Ladies you have been a bit of a roller coaster to watch this year and like a roller coaster it has been a lot of fun. I certainly hope it is not quite over yet. You are so much better a team than you were in December. CD definitely has my interest up for the future. There is no quit in this team. A lot of very hard work. Thank you for all the hours of yelling, cheering, shouting etc. (my cardiologist may disagree) I am not sure what it was today but a lot of shots were going short, typically I would say tired legs do that. Wenzel was just Ice cold, and all great players have days like that. Baker could not shake loose and get her shots. Defense off the dribble has been an issue all year and it was again today. I did not notice any zone defense today. A lot of young players got a lot of playing time this year, and have played very well. They will all be better next year. CD has done a money job assembling her staff, as a bench coach and practice coach. I hope she can recruit, especially to her needs at the 5 and get more athleticism coming at the 2. I am excited about the future and hopefully get to see this TEAM play again a few times this year. Just a great big THANK YOU!

We played pretty much without Rose again, She was not herself. I know she will get back to herself, hopefully soon. Definitely out coached UNC. Played good enough to win. Love this team and the effort, nothing too big not to come back from. Really good defensive effort, especially Peterson playing the 5 defensively, she is not a 5 but was getting it done inside.

Over matched inside and a very hot shooting team and they just kept playing hard. Peterson is going to be a star she can shoot pass and rebound. Do not ask her to play post defense though. Carys Baker is a star, she can do it all, loves the hard work on defense and rebounding. Creates her own shot both inside and out. Wenzel is starting to come into her own, really picked up and led the team in the second half. Nelson and Lani White can both play D and light it up on O when they have the opportunity. Wells is just fun to watch, very strong D. Losing Rose and Tilly will hurt, Imperative to find someone to play the 5 behind Rose.

The missing piece is a big center. Rose is excellent, do not get me wrong. The hokies are blessed to have her. An extra 2 inches in height and she destroys the competition. Passing is better, ball handling is better, most important the defense has been much better. When they shoot well they are going to win some games. Strong mentally and just keep coming after ya. Give 2 years and they will be a power.
