As I stated a couple of days ago, I really do hope Pete is able
to find at least one pitcher from the portal who can immediately come in and be one of the top 2 in the rotation. Just seems to me that this team, as good as it is, will need another top pitcher to complement the staff next season. Fall ball will be more important than normal this year.
BTW, good luck ladies in the NCAA's. Hope you have a regional at home!!

That was the group of teams along with us and Texas Tech competing for the final 2 spots
We were the only team to win A game in the conference tourney quarterfinals and advance to semis. And we won our game over a top 35 RPI team

Lost to Clemson in a total meltdown inning. BUT, in all fairness, this
was more frustration. Lemley couldn’t even grip the ball. The umps and the ACC got the outcome they wanted. JUST MY OPINION.

I know about our game, but but what happened that would knock us out of a
hosting spot?
We needed a win, which we got. The teams around us lost to inferior teams. Then yesterday we lost to a higher RPI team, which will do no harm to us. I know of nothing that happened yesterday that suddenly knocked us out of hosting. It's certainly not a lock, but we looked as if we'd likely host before the game, so nothing has changed. An win yesterday would just have guaranteed it and made Clemson the bubble team.

I suppose they had a slightly better chance at hanging in with a loss than we do. But, I don’t think the ACC is taking that into account.
