On the ACC website they continue to show
FSU above VT in the standings. Although we're tied for the conference lead, our overall season winning percentage is slightly higher although FSU has won more games. Probably just another intentional slight since they certainly want to maintain the Noles as the flagbearer for the ACC. Guess we'll have to wait a couple weeks to change that.

GT and UNC are tied in conference but UNC has more wins and a better winning percentage and are shown below them. I am guessing the algorithm is in conference winning percentage then alphabetical order? That holds for all others who are tied.

Attention
17 game win streak and very little respect from polls
Our own conference’s network gives us some attention but I also listen to ACC radio…and we always seem to be an “afterthought” in most discussions. I can’t tell you the number of times across various sports I’ve heard “don’t forget about Virginia Tech” and that’s when we’re having a great season in whatever sport they’re discussing
Especially softball though. Nationally the ACC is brought up and it’s FSU, Duke, Clemson…oh and don’t forget about Virginia Tech…they’ve got a chance too…yeah well we’re TIED for 1st ahead of 2 of those three you just rolled off your tongues

The standings on the website are very unofficial, and only generally accurate. The D1Softball.com standings are sometimes better, but sometimes not. To the degree that the regular season standings matter (they do seed the ACC tournament and there is a trophy for the regular season champion as well as the tournament champion), the ACC will get that right and won’t refer to their public website.
