Softball American has VT in Athens (Georgia #7 overall) as a #2 seed with Charlotte and USC Upstate. ACC 5 Bids (Duke, FSU, Clemson, VT, UVA). Only Duke as a Top 16 seed.
D1 Softball also has the Hokies in Athens with Georgia as the #7 overall seed. The two other teams are Eastern Kentucky and USC Upstate. They also have the ACC with 5 bids but has Duke as the #5 overall and FSU as the #14 overall. Theyhave UVA as one of the last four in.
On RoboCoach, a reputable poster named Smurf has Georgia as the #11 overall seed but also has the Hokies in Athens along with Charlotte and Chatanooga. He has FSU as the #15 overall seed, Duke as the #5. He also has the ACC with 5 bids with UVA in the final four.

I would not be shocked if they magically end up swapped into hosting. I realize their SOS is dang good, but talk about bias.

as they are playing #15. Mississippi State would be #17 as they are playing #16. But this rationale is probably not logical due to the geographic matchups factor.

not sure there is much difference whether it is Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Arkansas or any other SEC school that VT could be paired up with.
