or a link that might put these amounts in the context of the number of donors? While that may not be entirely accurate if the number of donors represents the individual donations it would provide some likely useful context to the depth of the contributor base.

to either the same program and/or multiple programs. When you realize that, it means there's not that many VT alums nor fans who donate. Hope there's more individuals who donate at other times. Looking at the total number of donors for this Day of Giving is kind of depressing IMO.

I must be technologically challenged as I got the $ leader board but, not the donor. Impressive for the Student Athlete Development area.

as opposed to tech challenged.

Yep…as tech challenged as I am, it is right there…

And gee, who would have ever thought that seeing $ totals for individual sports might be something donors might be curious about?!
(In response to this post by WizzardMaker)
It’s on the Athletics page…a table for dollars raised by category
and number of donors just below it.

Amazing how transparency generates excitement.

And awesome job for those that gave.
It's interesting that the dollar amount for softball is significantly higher ($12,000) than women's basketball although WBB had more donations (227-193).

When Giving Day closes, let us know what the donor # and $ totals were that were done via your link. I am sure most of those will be towards softball although I know some have used your link to also give to other areas as well. I am guessing a good chunk of that $30k+ softball money came via your link, demonstrating once again the value and power you bring to VT softball fundraising!!

a lot of potential questions, at least in my mind, about the individual sports and the strength/viability of specific sport fan bases.

This is the University Giving day. Athletics main drive is in the Fall with Triumph. I also believe that the big donations that drive things are more often not public.

it is the University giving day and also true that big donations are more often than not public, although dependent upon how big is defined and the desire of the donor that it be made public for whatever reason. As you say Athletics does have a fall event with Triumph and that is, at least on the surface, geared toward NIL. However, what that may look like after July 1, and if the House settlement is approved, might be subject to change.

...it actually hasn't been with Triumph in the past as that hasn't been allowed. We will see what it looks like this fall.

however, with MBB occupying the cellar per that graphic there are questions raised I believe. Just my opinion, but, and despite CMY taking the high road in public comments, MBB has been significantly damaged by a variety of AD decisions and actions.
