Tuscarora played Woodgrove tonight in the Regional Final and Chloe hit a walk off HR to win it for Tusky. Both teams advance to VHSL State Tournament.

Been on X tonight and a few teams coaches (Duke and Belmont are two I saw) are asking interested players to send them info. That's a real chemistry builder going into the NCAA Tournament. Good luck with that.

Anni's brother lives in New Hampshire. He's wearing shorts this weekend. 😄

Arthur's mom brought me up his HR Chain for me to wear after Anni's HR. I let Anni's sister wear it for a bit, then when Nora hit a HR I delivered the HR chain to her mom. Then she passed it to Kylie's mom. Arthur started a new tradition ❤️ He is simply the best!!! We as parents simply enjoy watching his love for our daughters and we get to celebrate the fruits of their labors and passions.

The clams for the project were the same as the ones we ate. Her project was studying the filtration qualities of oysters and clams.

The clams were courtesy of Heather Terry Lusk who is a VT Softball Alumn. We met her last year during Alumni weekend at our tailgate. She and Anni's younger sister, Bekah immediately connected regarding Marine Science. So much in fact that Heather provided clams and oysters to her for her Independent Science Research project. She also hosted Bekah this week at their home on the Eastern Shore of VA. The family's hatchery has been in business since 1903. Bekah was treated to an inside look at their operations, boat ride with dozens of dolphins surrounding the boat, which according to Heather had never happened like that before. She also got a private tour the Virginia Institute of Marine Science Eastern shore lab. This amazing connection was only possible thru the work that Coach Pete and his staff does. Year in and year out. Bringing people together thru the game of softball. We are grateful to them for opening doors for both our daughters. Heather's daughter, Lela also plays softball and is a pretty good pitcher. You may see her in a few years. Thanks to this folks in this group for your continued support. Let's go Hokies!!!

Happy April Fools Day Hokie Softball Nation!!! This is NO JOKE! Series Sweep Donor steps forward! 🧹🧹🧹 In light of the fact that Tech Softball Park was filled this weekend and standing room only on Saturday, a generous softball donor is willing to match any dollars (up to $20,000) which are raised in the month of April. Simply make the check to "Virginia Tech Athletic Fund - Softball" and mail to Chip Grubb at 8155 Bent Mountain Road Roanoke, VA 24018. Like always, he will gather the checks together and take them to the Softball staff (Coach Pete/Bill Old) and they will get them to the Hokie Club. You will still get credit for a specific sport donation. If you would rather do PayPal ([email protected]) or Venmo, you can do that as well.
