Thought I’d watch some college football…
On my new Charter Spectrum system and of course they are in a carriage urination contest with Disney. Now ESPN and their family of networks have gone dark. Guess I won’t be watching the Tech game Saturday night. 🤬

These carriage and retransmission fee fights are going to happen a lot more often and probably become even uglier. Especially the retrans agreements. These increasingly consolidated local tv companies (i.e. Nexstar and Sinclair) think they are entitled to ever-increasing rights fees to carry their local affiliates on the linear cable lineup despite continuing precipitous declines in cable TV subscriptions. Retrans fees are a large chunk of local affiliate revenues. Something’s gotta give. 🤷♂️

Florida. ANY team, let alone a future B12 team beating an SEC team I'm down for. I get Nebraska, but the BIG sucks these days.
Me thinks our game is about to get more expensive to watch.

Have internet? Just stream it and cancel the tv package.

You can if you use YouTube TV or Hulu Live. Or are you saying Spectrum is
also blocking ESPN’s internet feed?

You'd just have to pay for said service, such as YouTube TV, Hulu, etc. If you subscribe to one of those services, ESPN is not going to block your access to its content simply because your internet connection is through Spectrum.
