Is anyone here from Cal/Stanford/SMU? How do you feel about the ACC merger?
Are you just happy to get into one of the top 4 conferences after everything that's happened with realignment?

He’s stoked about joining the ACC. Won’t stop sending texts and talking smack about they’ll give the Hokies a beat down. Quite annoying about it.
But the larger point is that SMU is so desperate to be relevant again and took the BIG XII smug hard, they see themselves as belonging.
Having gone to one of their games, it was awful. No one there and I actually fell asleep in the second half, well all the beers in the suite might have contributed.
They want to leverage this for recruiting, alumni engagement, greater attendance…back to relevancy.

get to and only one time zone away. They could get better, who knows? Calford? Meh- Can’t hardly stand the hubris from C’ville but I bet it’s nothing compared to those two.

I live in San Diego and my daughter just started her freshman year at Cal. I am sad that the PAC-12 collapsed... horrible mismanagement. I am excited about the ACC merger... it is Cal's best option.

My daughter is a senior in high school and it's on her list. I've heard mixed reviews. We haven't been to visit, but might try to go for a weekend this fall.

The campus is inside a redwood forest. So, it is kind of like going camping for 4 years.
