All supposed Big 12 new life.
And they haven’t set one foot in California. USC/ucla would never. Stanford and Cal would rather wilted on the vine.
That being said Acc may get feet in Cali. Plus one share in Texas not four.
I can’t say I like expansion at all these days. But it’s clear Big 12 is a league of patches. While Acc only losing Md. seems to live on. Whether pretty or not.
Mag7 getting a win? Final results not in I admit. So I will not comment yet .

I would have the ACC work out a trade with the Big-12 whereby Cal, Stanford and SMU are traded for WVU, Cincinnati, and UCF. Would make more sense geographically and competition-wise. Of course the academic snob schools in the ACC would never go for it.

I’m just stating history of Big 12. I have no clue what will happen to Acc except to say history shows Maryland really only one to leave over money.

encouraged, but maybe if you step back and look at the bigger picture, you wouldn't be so quick to judge.
The ACC appears that they are about to add three schools, two of which were "too good" for the B12. Let's look at what being "too good" for those flyover truck stop beer drinking football/basketball crazed schools got them. They are currently without a home, and are trying to buy their way into your conference.
So, the hoity academic snobbery schools from CA are trying to get into the ACC, so they can what? Rub elbows with other academic snobbery institutions like NC and Duke?
Clearly the ACC will be a much better conference than the B12, just like the PAC was leaps and bounds better than the B12.
Be very careful what you ask for, because you just might get it.

I will mourn its demise. I think the remaining schools, especially Arizona and ASU, should have stayed for less money. The reason the Big 12 might be stable now is because it has a bunch of schools absolutely no one cares about.

media contract - so make no mistake, just because many live in the East Coast bubble, doesn't equate to a bunch of teams that people don't care about.
The only schools that didn't fill their stadiums each and every week, no matter who they played, was Kansas and Houston. That was BEFORE the PAC fell apart.
The ratings, and the fererent fans out here rival those of VT, so go ahead and live in your bubble.
How about a 1-1 with K-State, we can settle this once and for all.

I just don't have any interest in K-State, positive or negative. I'd rather see ASU against Oregon State or Washington State. What we have now is an unappealing mess that never will be fixed.

watch a NC State game either. I lived out there, so I'll watch a VT game, but i assure you, except for FSU, ND, Clemson, and a few basketball schools, the fly over country is pretty oblivious to the Atlantic Coast - Which is why neither of our conferences are making the big bucks.

Those that keep saying the Big12 "rejected" them are ridiculous. It's 100% untrue (and really the other way around). I know some are desperate to be the #3 ahead of the ACC but at least tell the truth.

want to be in the fly over beer drinking politically incorrect conference. The thing is, almost all of us in the B12 are OK with that.
As far as being the #3 conference? It won't matter in the long run. I will say, that college football needs a stable ACC moving forward. They needed a stable PAC as well, but can't change the past.
If there is legitimate access to the playoffs, it is there that the conference pecking order will be decided - or at least should be decided. It's also where the future big money will be.
If they keep the top 6 conference auto's, go to 16 teams in the playoffs, and give every conference champion a home playoff game, the regular season will remain relevant, and winning the conference will mean more than it does now.
You watch - that money will not be able to buy championships for the Indiana's and Rutgers of the world. It's time to start beating these blue bloods on the field, like TCU did to the BIG's undefeated champion.
It's time for college ball.

NBC Conference
Amazon Conference
Apple Conference
ROKU+ Conference
Conferences were once meant to provide stability, but not in this day and age of NIL.
Players are getting paid for their name (NIL), colleges now expect the same (FSU, ND).

ESPN owns the SEC and FOX owns the B1G. It’s all about money at this point. “Conferences” will be irrelevant in the future, just ask Notre Dame/NBC.

But again, the MEDIA DEALS ($$$$) are driving both the Playoffs and Conference expansions, so everything else is just posturing right now.
FOX and ESPN can basically just create their own semi-pro college league at this point, and that’s what it’s absolutely about to become.
