If ND won’t add a 6th game, don’t expand, and the Mag 7+1 should leave.
Magnificent 7 schools can’t wait 13 years when the B1G is making $20 million more without USC & UCLA, and the SEC is making $10 million more without Texas and Oklahoma.
Anybody think the money deficit will decrease? Nope, most think it will expand exponentially. If that’s the case, the sooner the Mag 7+1 leave the better. We might as well test the court now before it gets worse.

With stanford on the schedule i think nd wanted to cut an existing acc team and count nd as one of the games. And open a slot for a national game
Acc wants all existing games as contracted plus stanford
If nd pulled that . Hell no no expansion

We dont know the detsils and who voted against it. If there was even a vote. Maybe it was not offered fo vote until things resolved . Also there is a political elemwmt where some parties would vote not to proceed to intentionally want to split the comference.
No one knows - but the peeception by the media and oiutside parties mot good..

The SEC and B1G don't seem to be ready to expand again right now. So you want 8 ACC schools to leave the ACC and form a new conference with no conference network or TV media deal in place? And not knowing if their attempt be get out of the ACC's grant of rights and exit fees by voting to dissolve the conference will even work legally or how many years of litigation it would take to resolve the matter? That doesn't sound like a very smart idea to me.

Ideally, I'd prefer UNC, UVA, NC State, and VT to all be in the SEC together. And kick Duke off to the B1G, Big 12, or the American.

Anybody who says otherwise is letting their football brains get in the way. UNC and UVA are elite academic institutions and will want to align with their elite academic peers, who also happen to get paid a ton of athletic revenue.
Miami fits the B1G’s MO to this point as well. Notre Dame would be the last domino to fall when the ACC has collapsed to the point its independence becomes untenable. Finally the B1G would add two pacific schools to round out its 24 school conference with 4 six-team regional divisions.

Could put the screws to the acc to include vt because uva sat secure. In a world where both could be left in the cold, the state pops would not cut off their noses to spite their faces. If one school is left in the cold, it’s better than both of them
