Comcast is doing well on the internet side, its just like all the media companies.

and own a lot of the channels, it really doesn't impact them. They're still getting theirs..but it gives them an excuse for raising internet service rates, so you end up paying more. YAAAY Monopolies!!!!!

On the branches of government and business monopolies, although the monopoly laws came later. Competition has been a great thing to keep things affordable!

I switched from DTV to YouTube TV 3 years ago...
and I can say I don't miss the high DTV bills. Like DTV, I only watch about a dozen channels on YouTube TV. I actually spend more time watching FrndlyTV which is $9/month. If YouTubeTV didn't have live sports, I would get rid of that today. I guess cable and satellite services will all be streaming in a decade or less since most of them also provide internet service. DTV already has a streaming service.

and picked up YTTV to see if I'd miss it. My thought was see how the first couple weeks of football season went. I didn't miss DTV at all, and the bill was 1/2. I haven't looked back.
I think I'm the only one that watches YTTV with any regularity in my house, though.

Wonder how people are watching live sports?
Live sports is probably the main reason why people still stick with cable I would think. Might be wrong tho.
Is live sports viewing down across the board? I don't know.
How will VT and the ACC make its money in the future?
How with this change the P2's view of VT as an expansion candidate?

in reality it's just wireless cable. Biggest advantage is you don't pay all the local concession fees and the a huge chunk of junk channels that no one watches anyway aren't included because you are correct, I believe most people that cut cable get live streaming for live sports and could care less about any of the rest of it.

Fox Sports and all the ESPN's. For us streaming is just easier than having cables and wires running all over the place. Plus you can put your TV wherever you want, and don't have install new cable outlets.
