I pretty much only watch Virginia Tech's 12 or 13 games. I think I only watched 11 in '21 because 2 were on RSN and I only watched the first quarter and one half of the bowl game that was played on a baseball field in late December. The only problem is that anyone with cable, satellite or streaming devices already fund the $ECN and BTN. I guess the only way to boycott them is by not watching so their advertising dollars decrease due to decreased viewership. We'll know when our boycott is working when the $EC Championship is sponsored by Spurtle and the Big Ten's is sponsored by Bell and Howell's Tac Light.

I could care less about the Egg Bowl (Ole Miss/Miss State), Tenn/Florida. Texas A&M vs Missouri or Arkansas. South Carolina v Kentucky. Anyone vs Vandy,

Back before ESPN got control of absolutely every SEC football game played each year. There use the be a TV game every Saturday Morning during football season called SEC Game Of The Week. That game sought to show every SEC team about twice each season. Not just the Alabama & Georgia show you seem to still appreciate. It was aired on a local station for many years. However as I said, ESPN took all the TV Rights and ended that Saturday game. So the local station in Little Rock had no game on those Saturday Mornings. Guess what? That local station started to weekly show ACC games. Did so about five years. I saw the Hokes, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and all the ACC schools. Enjoyed the games. I guess I just enjoy watching college football. Never had to have those Hogs playing to keep the TV set on.

hoodwinked/used/abused two members of an the alliance to actually vote against what was in their (ACC/PAC) bests interests. They used this same fear/hatred of the SEC to get the ACC/PAC to harm themselves. One was plotting against one of its alliance members to raid their two highest schools One fatally shot their longest bowl partner (Rose bowl) At least with the SEC, they dont act all righteous and than act differently. You know what you are getting from the SEC. Having said that, I dont blame either the B1G or the SEC. Anybody can wave bye-bye tomorrow and be forgotten the next day. Vandy gets just as big a piece of the conference money pie as Alabama does. The SEC front office does get a double sized piece of that money pie. With the SEC. You do know the SEC is at least based on being fair to all the members.

I saw your Link with Adam Rittenberg declaring back in 2017 that the SEC had a Grant of Rights agreement extending to 2034. I have read dozens & dozens over years of SEC articles and never heard that mentioned. You cannot Google it because Links about the ACC GOR fill the page full of Lnks. I did find one Link with comments regarding that ESPN article where anti-SEC people were having a blast grilling any SEC fan they remembered knowing. I think this is just like ESPN talking endlessly about an old bar fight that Darren McFadden had that made him totally undeserving of the Heisman in favor of soph. Tim Tebow. Or how Ryan Mallet had old high school drug rumors that made him unfit for the NFL Draft. They talked that trash endlessly bringing it up daily over & over. It cost McFadden the Heisman and dropped Mallet's NFL Draft stock down to being drafting in the 3rd Round. All causing the Razorback program to lose prestige and those great athletes to lose potential money earned. The SEC front office also doesn't defend Arkansas. That Connecticut bunch doesn't like the south. ESPN being bought by Disney sums it up. I think they are full of total garbage like to much of the mainstream media these days.

Quietly is right. Says it was done in early 2021 following that year of pandemic supplements and sawed off football schedules in 2020. Whatever supplements means. It just fits right in with all the other weird screw turnings in the last couple years with anything commercial. The SEC is not nearly as cozy a place these days. I still could not imagine a rush for the exit doors. Somebody saw a spook that wasn't there.

I just bounced this off a nephew. He had never heard about this Exit Fee. However he suggested maybe they were afraid Missouri would leave. The southern half of Missouri does fit in the SEC to some extent. However the northern half is B1G. The university of Missouri is west of St. Louis about in the middle. It there is a weak link. That is it.

I think that Texas, Oklahoma, USC, and UCLA pursued these leagues after seeing BigXII and PAC12 media offers. Yes the networks are behind this. BUT, ESPN has made a decision to have a ACCN. They need to make sure we survive. I don't think Missouri is an issue. But when these Blue Bloods for football call you, you answer the phone.

The last four schools to join the B16 have been a reaction to what another conference did. Maryland-Rutgers was in response to the ACC surrounding Penn State with the additions of Pitt and Syracuse and Notre Dame (as a non-football member). UCLA/USC was in response of the SEC's addition of Texas and Oklahoma. The SEC took action and the B16 reacted.

maintaining a regional footprint. That travel is going to be a nightmare for those Los Angeles programs within that B1G. I guess football teams travel chartered but how about all those other sports programs. Travel can be a mess these days with just keeping scheduled flights going. Lord help us when cooler weather hits, Done talking about another pandemic. Anyway any fan can travel pretty easy by car all within that SEC footprint.
