BC should have never been added. There are a lot of flaws with the way of

doing "business" that has run college football for the last several years. The incentives aren't lined up correctly - "inefficiencies in the market," if you want to use business lingo. The main appeal of Rutgers is that the Big Ten would get more per cable subscriber in NJ by having an in state school. That means that an immigrant grandmother who doesn't speak English and knows nothing about football is paying more for the BTN than she was pre-Rutgers. Kudos to everyone involved for figuring out how to exploit a dumb system. Same deal with BC. Once people realize this and correct the situation, schools like those two aren't nearly as valuable.
