I don't think it is an issue of low end football schools
ITo me the problem is the there is a not a strong performing top of the conference. Other than Clemson, no team has been a national player. For ACC to compete, Clemson, FSU, Miami, VT, UNC, GT, NCSt have to be equal to OSU, Mich, MSU, PSU, Wisconsin, Iowa. Nobody cares about Rutgers, IU, NW, ILL, Minn.
Also ACC likely to lost the Duke, Wake type schools to somewhere else, like Big East etc. and then Basketball andthe Olympic sports become a problem for the ACC football schools
