ND had/has zero desire for football to join the ACC and actively worked to prevent that result. Why would anyone think that football would join when ND was always so adamantly opposed to the idea that it would do whatever it took to avoid such a result? Why would the ACC want a football program that strongly does not want to join and be a part of the conference?
