UNC can't fill their own stadium, they probably wouldn't watch their team get slaughtered by Alabama. Alabama would have as many fans at UNC as the home team. VT has a very passionate and loyal fan base who would bring more eyeballs from TV sets than UNC for a football game, that is just being realistic and looking at past ratings. To add, can you imagine the scene at VT for a home game against Alabama compared to UNC?
