Interesting history as Mason Club football dates to 1993

They thought they had momentum to build a varsity program15+ years ago, but hit a wall. This article in the city paper is from 11 years ago. The founder of Mason club football really felt the numbers were set to lead to a negative decision on varsity football and keep all the money flowing to basketball. Today, Mason has a new AD, Brad edwards, former NFL player and a standout fundraiser and administrator. One of his hires several years ago was Washington Redskins legend Darrell green, who training at Mason all of his career So it’s easy to say never for Mason football.
