Maybe I'm showing my age, but I always loved watching the rivalries

the Backyard Brawl, Texas vs. aTm, Bedlam, Black Diamond, Nebraska-OU, etc. etc. were all great and have been or about to be ended due to ridiculous, non-sensical (at least geographically) Conference Expansion. Some of those games may not have gotten 5 million eyeballs, but I'll bet they get better numbers than Texas-Kansas State, Missouri-Arkansas, even aTm-LSU (when the hell was that ever a rivalry???). Add them all up and I'll bet you the TV numbers were much better with these rivalry games than they are now without.
