I’m not a Tech fan, not a hater, but not a fan. I am, however, a fan of the ACC and enjoy reading the comments and following the discussions on these threads. The one thing I don’t understand in a lot of these is discussions is the heightened sense of value that a lot of fans have for Tech. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fine school academically but the chances of you ending up in a P2 conference aren’t as great as a lot of people think on this board. The in-demand schools, rightly or wrongly (and for some of them wrongly) are FSU, Clemson, Miami, UNC, UVA and GT (Atlanta). Other than those six, it’s really a crap shoot. Obviously wouldn’t fall any farther than the B12, but I think that’s the most realistic landing spot. Do you really bring anything more than say Pitt/Syracuse/NC State/Louisville does? Pitt/Syracuse at least have historical rivalries in the B10… which admittedly doesn’t mean much anymore. Tech’s glory days are now pretty far in the rear view mirror. And again, not saying that to be a d***. Personally, would love to see an eastern flank in the B12 of Tech, WVU, Pitt, Louisville and Cincy.
