This latest wave of raids have made in-state schools staying together

decreasingly plausible. If a school as good in big time athletics as Oklahoma State (always very good in football and basketball, and elite in non revs like baseball and wrestling) can't break through to the P2, this is a bad sign for in-state rivals sticking together. And of course, it's terrible for college sports and football in particular. This is true here in Virginia as well as Oregon, Washington, Kansas, Arizona and North Carolina. I think it's every man for himself now. I would be shocked if Wazzu and Oregon State make the big time. Some of these tandems have been in the same conference for a century. I do think it's possible that Cal and Stanford get in the B1G. Or in the case of Cal, make it difficult for UCLA to leave. The state of California might be worth it though. I think if the B1G brings just UCLA and USC, that that will be the lamest, pure money grab ever. ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 7/17/2022, 1:08:32 PM ** Edited by Maroon Baboon at 7/17/2022, 5:23:07 PM

NovaHokie27 07/16/22 09:39 PM ET
…yep. it’s pretty much done for the next decade.**
chumley 07/18/22 02:42 PM ET
No. As I have been saying, there will be a B1G western division when all

I want to agree with you. But I don't understand the wait.

ND has to pay for further Big Ten expansion
TerryD 07/17/22 06:25 PM ET
ND might welcome some persuasion from Phil Knight**

Thing is, Phil Knight is 84 years old.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the ACC make a move.

Involving the B10, SEC, and ACC - YES ; PAC10 and B12 - No**
hokiesrule98 07/17/22 10:24 AM ET
Maybe, but I find it hard to believe the B10 will leave ...

Is the money just too exclusive?

If I had to guess, the B1X's next move depends on when ND finally commits
EDGEMAN 07/17/22 09:38 AM ET
When ND jumps, it will be to the Big 10.
Atlee Hokie 07/17/22 09:49 AM ET
Pretty clear money is a main driver for ND, so...
EDGEMAN 07/17/22 10:35 AM ET
Don't minimize Tier One vs. Tier Two

He is not going to do anything to block UCLA except maybe some

This reminds me of how we got into the ACC in 03
RamblinHokie 07/17/22 11:08 AM ET
Nah - he's too busy trying to lure Florida residents to California
VPI_1998 07/17/22 07:51 AM ET
Would he also look to block USC?**
HoakieCup 07/17/22 07:49 AM ET
I doubt it cause they are private AND
