Could be up to 13 of 14 positions locked to the conferences

4 to SEC 4 to B1G 2 to Big XII 2 to ACC 1 to G5 1 last at large- basically a slot for Notre Dame any time they finish in the top 14. Really good breakdown on the Wetzel/Forde/ Dellinger podcast, starting around the 22 minute mark.

Auto-bids for non-champions is a bad policy.

Agree, but does it really matter?

It’s hard for me to believe nonP2 would allow this, but maybe you want them
Stech 02/22/24 03:41 PM ET
Even if I was the SEC and B1G I wouldn't want it. It's just lame.**

Got to save public face when and if you break off. Unlike some here, I

It's a bargaining chip. They don't really expect to get 4 guaranteed spots
tarheelblue 02/22/24 04:03 PM ET
Could be, I think we will find out sooner rather than later.**
Stech 02/22/24 04:08 PM ET
ACC should agree to this as long as both P2's grow to (24) each ;-)**

Haha, but those that believe they will be included will probably do that.

USA Today “hated it” version of CFP meetings
