Insurance dudes, will a speeding ticket up my insurance rates? 48 in a 35.
Should I go to court, plead guilty and ask for a driving course for it not to go on my record?

shouldn't raise your rates. You can always go in and argue and have the points reduced if you wish, but I think a waste of time.

Twice I went to court and they sent me to VASAP (driving class) with the condition that 3 years (I think) after completion if I did not get another infraction it would be removed from my record.
I've never asked or requested anything but the judge has usually taken into account my driving record. Only one of my 4 speeding tickets were just simply paying the fine. Two I was ordered driving class, and the other was dismissed when the officer didn't show up for court.

ticket goes away. I did, I got a 73 in a 55 on rte 220 in Botetourt County. Class was cheaper than paying the ticket plus no points or insurance hike.

I’ve done this. Also, my insurance company doesn’t pull my record unless there is a reason to (accident etc)
