Call the courthouse and ask for a civil charge & not driving charge

I’ve done this. Also, my insurance company doesn’t pull my record unless there is a reason to (accident etc)

My thoughts…

Two athletic administrations in a row that didn’t foresee the landscape pivoting or change quick enough when it did. Couple that with a football coach who was also fine with the status quo (winning 10 games and being top 25) vs pushing the limits, adjusting his philosophy, and/or firing mediocre coaches. We had a strong 15 year run which was our best shot. The gap is significantly larger now. Other sports were hindered from resources during Weavers tenure. Whit tried to change that but couldn’t balance football and all other sports. Tech fans and supporters were also slow to accept the new landscape and loosen their purse strings. Location and proximity to large cities does hinder corporate sponsorships. While football drives the bus, I believe our best chance is to go all in on a sport like softball. we could win one if we maxed out the budget for a few years for NIL. Every other major sport has too large a deficit to large school including baseball, both basketball programs and of course football.

Went to all 3…

And sat Second row behind home plate. We weren’t aggressive at the plate, the bullpen isn’t strong enough and the other schools appeared bigger and stronger. SEC money and fans are fascinating. Miss St is not a good school and in one of the poorest states in the country yet their program is deep and their fans traveled well. Had our chances for Tenn but couldn’t make it happen. A&M fans were by far the most annoying from 5 to 85 years old. Constantly talked trash to our pitchers the entire game. I stayed to watch them play UCLA last night and loved that the Bruins destroyed them. I’m staying to watch Miss St #4 and UCLA #1 now which should be a good game.

Just one opinion…

Ease into it. If he is naturally athletic and good at soccer, he will continue to be. Not much of it matters until they hit puberty. Some kids develop earlier than others from a coordination standpoint. The last thing you want is to burn him out. What I see with my 12 year old is most parents ultimately start doing things that make them feel good vs what is good for their kid. Your son will decide if he likes the sport enough to do what it ultimately takes about 6-7 years from now. Until then, he most likely won’t have the mental maturity so let him have fun, get him a good coach around 10 or 11 and try to remember that youth sports are destroyed by parents thinking their kids are special.

Schools don’t have to play them

If schools would stop scheduling them, they’d eventually have to make the move. It would take away years of tradition such as USC etc but could be done.

A few thoughts

1. Pry is terrible at clock management. He’s proven this over and over and has not improved over his time here 2. He is 1-12 in one score games. That’s an entire season worth of these situations and he hasn’t learned how to close. 3. You cite the defense above. That is his niche and the reason he brought in Marce is to run Pry’s system. The defense is the worst part of our team and it’s supposed to be the part Pry knows the best. 4. We were terrible three years ago; you are correct. We are still a very bad football team. Every year there is a first year coach at a school who turns things around. How much longer do you want to give Pry to do so?

Getting HS player info to the coaches question

Have a pitching recruit I’d like to get Tech’s eyes on. Any idea how to do that?

My wife’s company may be perfect for yours. She creates these and other HR processes for small companies that can’t afford or don’t want a permanent HR role/department. Let me know if you think there could be an opportunity here and I could have her contact you or your CFO.
