May have been the most boring Masters I've ever watched...
They've made certain holes too long, now players are laying up instead of going for the hero shot and hoping to make an eagle to get back in the tournament. Amen Corner flashed zero exciting shots except for Rory's on 12. Dear members of Augusta National, longer isn't better. Spent too many hours watching that crap this weekend, hoping to see fireworks, got nothing but a big ole dud!! Congrats to Rory for going back-to-back...

CBS imploded on the final hole
They missed the flight and landing spot of both second shots up to the green. Took them 90 seconds to find Rory's ball in the bunker. How does that happen with 57 cameras and spotters around that green? Then for Rory's second shot on 16, how do you not compare that to Tiger's miracle shot from the exact same place in 2005? They also missed the landing of his tee shot on 15, being right under that tree. Missing some of the previous announcers as well. Trevor Immelman and Frank Nobilo are fine and adequate, but they certainly don't elevate the broadcast. ** Edited by Roanokie at 4/13/2026, 11:55:27 AM

I didn't watch, but wasn't the storyline and leaderboard changes exciting?
IE, Rory has an insurmountable lead after 2 days, blows it, and gets it back what makes it exciting? I can see the appeal to viewers who play golf wanting to see 'hero shots', but the storyline seemed a lot better than 'boring'.

I definitely did not find it boring at all.
There was a time when it seemed it was anyone's tournament, and guys who were not even on the radar started posting low scores and putting pressure on the leaders. And the final outcome wasn't really certain until Rory's first putt came to rest on 18. All in all, I found it plenty riveting, even by Masters standards.

I've always thought courses should be set up so players struggle for -par
No one should be -12, that's absurd. Top players should be clustered around 0, maybe a few strokes above or a few strokes below. Thea's how much of a challenge the course should be for professionals. Either that, or add wild animals that might attack.

I thought yesterday was more exciting

There were some fabulous shots - chips and putts
Rory's charge, fall back and charge were amazing for the pressure on him. infinity is in a distribution fee pissing match with Scribbs over CBS affiliates. What i could watch on ESPN and Paramount+ was some entertaining golf on a beautiful and challenging course.

Not sure it's all about length, but yeah...not a really fun day
Not sure what it was. Seems like the guys that could have contended and made it interesting just kinda pooed the bed. Rose, Sheffler, and Young all left more shots on the course than they lost by. Hatton played great but just had too much ground to make up.

Really? I thought it was great.
For a while it seemed to me that anyone in the top 6-8 had a chance to win.

I had a lot of irons in the fire today, so to speak
So I didn't watch the whole thing with undivided attention. But I think the general feel for me was that Rory didn't win so much as the other guys lost. In the last 3 groups, only Rory and Rose were under par. Sort of anticlimactic on a day when the course was getable

Easy for us couch potatoes to say.
Had McIlroy led the entire day and run away from the field, I might agree that it was a boring final round. But because he fell behind and clawed his way back, I found it to be quite entertaining, especially with Sheffler finishing at -11. I have to admit that as a fellow "old guy", I was rooting for Rose, but I still found it an enjoyable day of watching golf.

After Rory's tee shot on 18, Scheffler should be ready for a playoff...
