I highly recommend "Nuremberg" (Netflix). Great story and acting.

I know it was based on the doctor's book, but after a promising start the doc's relationship with HG fizzles out. The SC guy played by Michael Shannon, and the debate over whether a trial would become a platform for Nazi-ism, would have been more interesting. Every time those parts came up I was glued to the TV, but the doc stuff was too self-aggrandizing for me.

Not the original movie or the Director's Cut. But the miniseries version that is 4 hours, 53 minutes long. That's gonna take a couple of days.

I really liked it. For me, it was an excellent character study of a sub crew in war. IMO, it is one of the best "war" movies out there.

Just finishing up Scott Anderson’s 2025 book “King of Kings” about the Shah of Iran. Fascinating back story of how the CIA installed his father, Reza Pahlavi in 1953, all the way through the 1979 revolution and how Nixon, Kissinger and Carter dealt with Iran and set the groundwork for what’s going in today. Excellent very engaging history.
