Looking for recommendations
Fellow loungers, I’m looking for recommendations for a last minute trip for Christmas into the New Year, preferably Europe. Greece is enticing. Any suggestions? TIA

Our family went to Greece in May 2022
Athens The National Archeological Museum has amazing exhibits and was not crowded. Go to the Parthenon early in the day before the cruise ships arrive. Food is amazing. Try lamb and rooster. Meteorae We wish we had spent more time there. Truly unique and very interesting. Islands We visited Santorini- it was hot and crowded. Beautiful but we would not go back. We stayed a few days on Tinos and Naxos. Small islands that are more laid back and peaceful. If we went back, we would definitely visit Crete.

Santorini is the draw…
But we are interested in Karpathos. Have you been?

Any of the Christmas market towns in Germany, Czech Republic or France. Or
maybe a river cruise in Europe? Lots of fun over the holidays in Europe.

My lady suggested Greece …
Since neither one of us have been before; however, based on the recommendations from other Loungers, I’m looking into Austria and Switzerland as neither of us have been there either! I’ll post pics of our final destination!!! Thank you everyone!!! Happy Holidays to all, Elliot

London at Christmas. German christmas markets. Greece, Spain, Italy
for Mediterranean climate. Sweden or Finland to be in complete darkness but everyone speaks english and there will be zero tourists.

You get awesome Christmas decorations. Sure it will be drizzly but London

Austria / Switzerland. Fly into Munich, hit Salzburg, then drive or train
West toward Innsbruck and Zurich. Hit the Bavarian Christmas markets, ski the alps, etc.
