What's wrong with his legs?......
In earlier times parents used to call it extra conditioning. ;-)

Right before they get their licenses is the worst, as they are involved so
much in activities, and mom and dad cheauffers. Was so happy when my kids got their licenses and could drive.

He will be driving soon enough

Get that boy a bicycle

I like that idea but it is probably not considered cool. So there's that.

In that case, get him one of these bikes...

I'll certainly miss him being young and in school, but I really don't think
I'll miss this sort of thing.

You may not…I get it….
But sometimes the car conversations are priceless.

I never thought I'd miss getting up at 5 am to take my daughters to
volleyball tournaments, but I do.

One of my cousins has three daughters who played on different VB teams.
Their travel schedule was ridiculous, with he and his wife driving to different cities with their traveling VB clubs.

I have two that are just different enough in age that the same thing
happened. I'd take on to Louisville while my wife took the other to Cincinnati. If by chance they were playing in the same city, one would be in the morning squad and other in the afternoon squad. So, I'd be there from 7 am to 9 pm watching them play. ** Edited by MCL3 Hokie at 7/18/2025, 9:29:12 AM

I am enjoying not having to go to travel softball tournaments every weekend
of every summer. It's been REALLY nice having my weekends back...

If he walked, he'd gain greater value for the privilege of driving.
Just sayin' ....
