Calling present and past Richmond Loungers with good memories
Looking for help on a 1977 concert at The Mosque (Altria Theater). One was Sanford Townsend Band, Pablo Cruise, and Firefall. The other was Atlanta Rhythm Section, Outlaws, and an opening band I can't recall. Can anyone tell me that band's name? I've checked on-line and band concert lists don't even show them being in Richmond. I've researched 1976, 77 and 78. Lounge answers are, as always, welcome even if less helpful than a head cold.

5/12/77 ARS, Outlaws and P.Cruise played the Mosque.
Not sure of the order though.

Ok, so Sanford Townsend and Firefall were the other. Maybe no third band.

I looked for Firefall venues, but none were at the Mosque. On 11/4/76
they did play at Robins Center (UR) with Robbin Thompson. I

Hmmm. Definitely with Sanford Townsend at some time.
Opened with "Smoke from a Distant Fire" and was with Firefall, the headliner. Almost 50 years, so....

Can't help you, but my first concert was at The Mosque in '78
quick search (see link) shows that Sanford & Townsend Band were at other locations with them on that tour. A band called Charlie was apparently with them at The Mosque. Yes, this falls under the "less than helpful" headline, but it gave me the opportunity to reminisce. .

If 1 of those 3, it would be MTB. Doesn't ring a bell.
I'll check their concert archive for that year.

When ARS played Burruss in that timeframe, Elvin Bishop opened
