Daughter at school needs a car
My car is paid off. Should I give her my car or should I find her a used car? Note my daughter is a good driver but she did wreck one car already. I come from the Bobby Bowden school of second chances. She needs a car because she has a health issue that limits her mobility. My Mom lives about 2 miles from me and she barely uses her car and has offered for me to share it with her. Should I consider doing that and let my daughter have my car? Mom’s car is almost paid off. Also Mom is close to the age where she may stop driving. Thanks for any advice

Choose the option that does not include acquiring another car.
Keep it simple. Do not attempt to buy a new or used car at this time unless you simply don't care what you pay.

If you use Mom's car, make sure you or your daughter is listed as a
possible driver. It will cost more but insurance companies have gotten very picky about this issue.

I’ve always wanted a minivan
But my wife won’t let me get one. So now I’m pushing for a full size conversion van!

I had a 90 Dodge Caravan and it was tough as nails and fun to drive.

I recommend you order a new Corvette Z06
She'll look fantastic driving that car!

When I was a VT student, remember a blond who drove a...

Where is your daughter going to school? While at VT, I used the transit
system most of the time (campus trips and basic errands.) If she has that option, I am willing to bet the system has accommodations for people with special needs. For instance, if she becomes stranded, they will come get her and transport her to where she needs to be. It would get you some time to figure out the car situation.

Yep they have a really good service at her school
She does use it to go to class. To keep her and her mom happy I will make sure she has a car for the off hours.I never had a car at VT but I was able to get around fine and if I needed to go to Kroger I would ride the BT.

well used cars are over- priced right now
so you could test it and see how it goes for a month or so....but having a car on campus can be a giant pain in the ass depending on the size of the school-.... so lots or factors....
