I probably watched her Let's Get Physical HBO special more than I watched
Anything else in my college years. She was fantastic! RIP. Olivia Newtown John.

My 1st concert--a friends parents took several of us to...
the Richmond Coliseum. It was a great show, she was beautiful and sang like an angel! Jim Stafford was the opening act--dude had too much Wildwood Weed and probably licked some toads too! There was a great "don't drink the water--Kepone!" moment in the middle of her performance.

One of music's greatest pop stars. She started out country and ...
went pop by the mid 70's to 80's. I grew up adoring her like so many teenage boys. She wasn't my favorite singer during those years but I'll always remember songs like 'Have You Never Been Mellow', 'Magic' and 'Physical'. My favorite song of hers was 1979's 'Dancin' Round and Round' which would've been a Top 10 country hit in the 1990's. She was ahead of her time in country pop.

Only 73. Suffered from breast and spine cancer.

She had battled
breast cancer for over 30 years. I guess that it eventually spread to her spine. Sad....

The third time it came back in 2017 I imagine is what got her :>(

So many women
get breast cancer. My wife was diagnosed with stage 1 in 2009 and is doing well now. Since Olivia was diagnosed at a relatively young age,I would imagine that it was pretty aggressive. At least she was able to live a full life for 30+ years after diagnosis.
