However, its a big job, not only the HVAC unit, but insulatiing the building, new ducts, additional electircal service. etc. The Design was authorized by BOV in February, therefore the firm will be working on it, to include project final estimate, construction drrawings etc. Also, once awarded, the contractor will have to order the long lead items, for the HVAC plant and/or transformers if needed. THe project is completed, on interior work, and scheduling when the practice facility is not being used for insulation, and ducting, replaced doors if needed and controls.

The football program, will expect construction/installation to minimize interruption of practice. My guess is 1. get design complete (asap) and get it out to bid. PRIORITY 2. design the construction, do the installation and ducting and insulation and wiring inside the building first and then 'plug' in the outside HVAC equipment and electrical service (that doesnt interrupt the use of the indoor field. BTW, While the HVAC system is going on, I expect Franklin to freshen the graphics in the practice field. THe key is can the university building dept, handle high priority urgent constructoin and MEET deadlines as needed. THey will be managing (projet mgr, contract officer) for the HVAC system, as ewll as the new LED lighting and Scoreboard (right after graduation). and all be reading game 1. Lets see if the unversity ethos, can handle increase in efficiency.
