Beware of ACC bias for UVA outcome.
I foresee there being a focus from the officiating crew tonight to weigh heavily in favor of the Hoos. The ACC needs to have UVA crowned as the conference champion to avoid the embarrassment of being shut out of the college playoff scenario. If Duke wins, chaos ensues. Without having a team in the playoffs, the ACC loses tv revenue and any argument regarding respect. Don't be surprised if there are several phantom calls that benefit UVA or they overlook blatant penalties by UVA. I'm sure the directive has come down from the ACC office to the officials that it is in their best interest to ensure that UVA is crowned as champions.

The replay booth in Charlotte cheated us for their undefeated team...
...and Heisman candidate last year. Then there were two or three games where it continued to happen. It was obvious. It was cheating. It was NOT a judgement call. It was a direct violation of the specific wording of the replay rules. For that reason... the hell with the ACC. That said, college and pro sports have become nothing more than marketing organizations who are money *****s. Disney/ESPN contribute to the problem. What started as "Revenue Sharing" has turned college football into something almost unrecognizable. That said... Go Hokies!

Exactly what I told a Duke friend of mine. If they go to the booth in
Charlotte, he can bet that Duke is not going to like the outcome. Take it to the bank.

ACC can’t afford to be left out of playoffs.

And will do whatever it takes to ensure that doesn't happen.

I think an ACC team will win the ACCCG
Were it any other matchup, I’d be concerned. Might give the BIG playoff a problem with their streaming audience though. Oh, you were talking about officiating. My bad.

I fully expect to see it. We saw it in our UVA game this year, and...
...they didn't need officials to assist in the outcome. At least not this season. But the ACC knew they needed UVA to win that game, and they need UVA to win the ACCCG IOT get one ACC team into the playoff. Book it!

Usually I don’t go w/ the conspiracy theory, but too much cash on the line.

This happens in the other conferences. We see it every year. Is it the
correct way to do things? Who knows. Is it fair to the team being screwed? Nope. It has happened to us. As we all know, college sports are fueled by one thing: MONEY.

If you believe in truth and a level playing field,
(which everyone should), then in no way could anyone consider that approach the correct way of doing things, from a conference perspective. Money be damned.
