"We should of hired Shane" posts. The man did not want to come here to coach. He calls South Carolina home so I hope it works out for him but I wish him zero luck on Sunday.

I really do think he didn't want to live in his Dad's shadow so even if VT ponied up the big bucks I'm not sure he would take it.

He is a VT grad, born in Virginia and played for VT. Hope he and the Gamecocks win Sunday. The "man" knew that Whit and others didn't want him here. I'm glad he has turned into a very good Coach at South Carolina. He has had lot experience from places were he has been. He did great while coaching with his Dad here at VT !!! SHAME we seem to forget all the connections he has at VT...I hadn't.......more than You and Others...Frank Beamer MADE VT FOOTBALL...Carry on

VT not being big time enough for him. No ill will towards him but on Sunday he is the enemy and so is anyone else who is wearing the garnet and black.
