Hokies Early -7.5 pts vs. the Green Wave ??
They are not mixing up the Green Wave of Narrows High with Tulane are they? Seems high ?
But, Their top receiver is opting out, and the top-rated QB Pratt may be doing the same.

Last few weeks of the season they beat Tulsa, ECU, and Rice by a COMBINED 7 points...and those are some terrible teams.

This is not the 2022 Tulane team that beat USC. Have a look through their schedule.
I get that we're not all that either, but our "meh" is better than theirs. 😂

sometimes it's done simply on W-L records, which may not be all that useful

which is fairly useless unless you think a 6-6 AAC team is equivalent to a 6-6 ACC team

Beta is closer to your notion on O, tho' not on D. FYI.

Since players don't want to play, let's just get rid of 2/3 of the bowls instead of watching the NFL talent opt out and these lawnmower and used underwear from she-hit-the-wall bowls

Have your 12 team playoff in the winter, and bowls the next August. You then have meaningful exhibition games. Everybody plays, nobody opts out, everybody has their coach. Let non bowl qualifiers host an in state FCS for an exhibition. Now week 1 rankings have some basis, and everyone has a legit scrimmage before the games "count".

Tulane had a good record this year, FWIW in that league. But we'll be facing a depleted version of them in this bowl. O&M glasses aside, VT just seems to be the more motivated and ready team in this matchup, IMO.
