Decent paycheck.
Only play in emergency situations.
Less chance for injury.
Less punishment on your body.
If you are serviceable, you can typically make a roster.

Tyrod even more rare. A mobile QB that has hung around as a back up
for a generation. Might be a few others, but there aren't many.

And the giants made a point of not running him. He played great other than the end of first half fiasco - negated the advantage a veteran should bring to that situation.

Was a very good QB who played for many teams and led more than a few to the playoffs. Played college at San Jose St

I saw a post on Reddit the other day after the Giants gave up like 11 sacks
and the coach was critical of Jones. Somebody said “he’s about to send Tyrod out behind this OL and finish what the Chargers doctor couldn’t.”

Forgive me for not knowing my "Hokie's in the NFL" stat sheet but...
Tyrod is back in Buffalo? Wasn't he there after Baltimore, then spent time with the Browns, then in San Diego (where his doctor punctured his lung or something wild like that??) now he's back with the Bills.. or am I totally screwed up here?
Where's Josh Allen?
