I was at the Lee Corso game when we had severe weather. We couldn’t get out
As all the fans congregated under the stands to stay dry and would not evacuate. The PA system also wasn’t loud enough or not working to communicate the need to evacuate. So many people stranded in the upper decks on aluminum bleachers with lightning all over. It was a really freaky night.

I was in the stands doing my best Lt. Dan impression
Didn't seek cover, but definitely couldn't hear clear instructions to vacate either. Glad I lived in AJ and it wasn't a far walk home.

I was there as well, that was my first ever game as a student at VT
I was huddled under the north stands while rivers of water were flowing all around us

That lightning strike was scary - 50,000+ in the stands and that thing was
just a few hundred yards away
