Posting History (97)

Tough to find two more unlikeable teams(well fanbases) than this Sugar bowl

Glad it seems like Georgia is losing. But I hope Miss gets blown out by scUM next week.

Ugly win is way better than an ugly loss

Elon isn't bad, but you know this is one of those games that would have kept us on the wrong side of the bubble all season.

With our turd of a season now flushed, controversial take on the playoffs

If Lane Kiffin goes to LSU and takes any significant contributors who won't play in the playoffs, Ole Miss should get left out of the playoffs. The committee did the same thing to an undefeated FSU, leaving them out of the playoffs when their starting and first string backup QB were injured, why should they change now?

Agree, Team is playing hard, coaching seems solid, just not talented enoug

enough to survive making any mistakes. Turnover here, drive sustaining penalty there, that's basically the ballgame.

Anyone else observe we actually looked like a disciplined, well-coached

team tonight? Minimal stupid mistakes, generally good discipline, smart decisions and good execution for most of the game. And we were actually kind of fun to watch, which is definitely a nice change.

Not just football, but he's tolerated Whit Babcock destroying all of VT Ath

Athletics for more than a Decade. Look at where VT Athetics were in 2014 compared to now. Football has been a steady downward slide for over a decade, Men's basketball enjoyed a couple good years but largely a failure-to-launch. Similar some good but not ground shaking performance from Women's Basketball, which is not where we should be trying to make a name for our athletic program anyways (in that it doesn't pay the bills). VT Athletics has fallen behind in every measure since Babcock took over, in this super critical time where some schools will be left behind in the wilderness as sports money consolidates.

I continue to be shocked that Whit Babcock has a job.

Considering where VT Athetics was in 2014, and where it is today.

great job running it down by the UM DB, but it looks like the refs took

4 yards off the landing, he didn't look close to the sideline and he landed at the 16, not the 20

When the play was considered a catch, almost 20 seconds ran as they moved

the chains and set up for 1st and 10 before they reviewed and call it an incomplete and put the ball back to the previous spot, but they did not put the clock back to when the pass hit the ground. I've seen them do that before. Do they only reset the clock in the last 2 minutes?

let's see if those 20 seconds are important (refs did not put the clock

back to 6:07 on the reviewed Jenning's miss). 2nd and 10 was snapped with the clock around 5:50ish

If/When Pry gets replaced, Whit doesn't get to be the guy to do it

I still like Pry and I hope he can get everything figured out, but Babcock doesn't get to spin the wheel at hiring a 3rd coach if the first two both wipe out.

They also had a good play, 1 more second and that's a first down.

Unfortunately ODU had the right defense called and a free rusher got in Drones' face too fast

VT vs WVU in Twitter football league right now for next 3-4 hours, link

It's as dumb as it sounds, you just like the post and it's a vote for VT. Score is currently almost tied, about 200-200. If you have an old Twitter/X account and an irrational need to not lose to WVU, sign in and like the post.

Winners from this, Florida (whose dirty hit concussed the #2 QB at FSU and

kept him out for the ACC title game, thereby keeping FSU out of the playoff. Seems like the committee evaluated FSU like the freshmen QB who'd thrown 4 passes in games would be starting in the playoff rather than having the compentent #2 back.

Non playoff talk APR coming back is probably the greatest single commentary

on the new coaching regime vs the old. For whatever reason (culture, scheme, vibes, etc.) someone like Antwaun Powell-Ryland would 100 % have gone to the draft or gone chasing bigger NIL money after this type of year. Sticking around shows the mood in the locker room isn't players just itching to get out, per the immense amount of talent that fled during the late CJF years.
