...you knock their A-- off
you stay off the F-in ground
you tackle the F-in man with the ball

He's better at preparing his team than he is at speaking.
But the dude has back to back titles. Really good coach, but I didn't find the speech particularly motivating.

This is standard King's English in 2023. This is how many people regularly communicate when not in mixed company. I hate it, but this is where the culture is.

Heard similar talk during high school ball from my coaching staff. Sometimes a talk like that is needed to get the point across.
Iβm sure even someone like Dabo has let a word or two fly.

I heard that kind of languages
from some coaches starting at about the age of 14. They weren't bad guys at all. Same guys would do pregame prayers too.

I couldnβt believe how foul-mouthed Coach K was up close in person

Really? They had special TV rules for K.
when he got going, they were forced to take the camera and mic off him. you could hear him in the first ten rows.

When we (W&M) played in Cameron

I sat behind the dook bench in an east regional.
he was dropping F bombs every 5 minutes. Children and adults having to listen to that nonsense. Weasel was not the person they made him out to be. More like his mentor.

so you love K? you might want to see the last post on this thread

of the younger generation. Young children do not need to be exposed to that. It is of no benefit or has any redeeming value what so ever. Will they hear it eventually? Sure but not from me. And hopefully not until they are old enough to realize it is simply un called for to express yourself with vulgar language. Big part of whatβs wrong with our world today. Parents and adults donβt model decent morals and values. Iβm sure some will disagree and thatβs your prerogative. But I strand firmly in this belief.

Question, do you say heck instead of hell? Freak instead of f***? Crap instead of π©?
(In response to this post by whatIpostlike)

Clearly we don't hang around the same people... but I say it about once a decade and using it with you seemed fitting since you're apparently all prim and proper.. :)

Iβm sure his last few years he may have mellowed a bit but he was always put on some pedestal by media as righteous and he was far from it
(In response to this post by whatIpostlike)
remember when he took the year off because of his back? 95 I think
it wasn't his back that was the problem.
