hoops just isn't wise imo. Hopefully fb success generates more revenue that can be added to the gen-fund.

cash next year. IF that's true, you can bet CMY may well be rethinking his decision to coach in '26-'27 since he will be at the bottom of the money pile again! I sure would.

Given focus on football, uncertainty in AD leadership and funding, etc, it makes complete business sense to put MBB on the back burner with a competent, caretaker coach. We really should not reposition the MBB program until we have all of our organzational and funding ducks in a row.

...now The increase puts us in the top 20 for funding. So are we running with a top 5 football budget, everything is going toward it?
MBB will get you a surplus if it's good, so it wouldn't be "taking" money away from Football.

...and playing basketball regardless of whether they get paid or not. Heck, that kind of team might even be willing to play in an NIT game!
