Time for Neo to break out his slump tonight
Clearly Neo hit the Freshman wall and he is also really suffering from a confidence problem on his shot.
I have a feeling he will see the ball go through the basket for him tonight and he will pick up his game. Defenses are doubling him coming off the high screen/roll and if he does not start getting rid of the basketball to the screener, he is going to continue to have some challenging nights.

Trying to do both at the same time can get you off your game. I like Hammonds running the offense and Neo off the ball. Need to see him playing his game and letting it fly like i know he can.

Hammond can get him the ball on the wing without a 2nd defender near enough to trap him immediately and he can still facilitate as a “point forward” or wing
What teams do by doubling the ball screen forces him to get rid of the ball earlier than he wants and in a position where he has to make a pass that won’t result in a direct assist. BUT if he passes to Hansberry early enough to keep from being driven back near midcourt our offense would function so much better.
The other option CMY has is to not start our O with a high ball screen, maybe starting with 1 high (Neo with ball) and 4 low actions

began starting each half. He's off the ball plenty. Unfortunately, it just seems that every shot hits the front of the rim and then there was the good looking open 3 the other day that embarrassingly clanged off the backboard. He has a good looking shot IMO, it's just off and I hope we see it improve this season.

Away and/or step back 3 isn’t necessary for him to take. If he wants to work on that shot that’s fine but don’t work on it in games right now. His 2 made 3s vs ND were good examples of how he needs to be shooting…on balance, straight up and down. ALL of his fade away and step backs are hitting front rim. He isn’t putting enough on them when he fades

If you use a prime number. I tried to point this out before, but like most things, turns out you’re a slow study.
Here’s hoping Neo scores 38 points tonight and that he looks like the first round NBA player that we are paying him to be. Unfortunately, I’m quite sure that he will not.
It’s a shame. Finally gave Coach Mike some money for players and he got the Greek dud.

Maybe before he turns 22. Despite his metrics, (though I don’t disagree that he’ll be drafted), I just can’t see anyone drooling over his product at this point.
He’s done nothing but hurt his draft status this year. Once ACC play began, it became obvious that he is easily intimidated, not strong, doesn’t play good defense, and honestly, is easy to shut down offensively. He’s tanking fast.
I’ve never seen a guy that plays as many minutes as he does and never commits fouls. And it’s not because he’s just great with his hands and his feet. It’s because he’s not aggressive. Those MEN in the NBA will absolutely dominate him. I would not draft him if I was a general manager.
But what do I know… I’m just some dude on the Gulf Coast in Alabama watching basketball.

Some great places and people there.
Huntsville is a city I’d put up against almost any other in the South.
The gulf is awesome. State is booming.
Birmingham and Huntsville are two of the most diverse city’s in the south based on a host of factors.
Not sure any of that is relevant to the discussion of Neo but if you need to throw stuff like that out in arguments and I’m sure at least a few folks might find it funny.

Because, I’m sure I’ve been to your humble abode probably as many times as you have mine.
Perhaps you will offer me the opportunity, kind sir, of trashing your residence as well?
