If Avdalas improves his shooting we can do a lot of damage this year

If you watch him in warmups
He has one of the most fluid and consistent jump shots on the court.

I'm pretty sure some Davidson fans said the same thing after Curry's first
half dozen shots in his frosh opener. His shot is gonna be fine. There is no way he is as highly regarded by NBA scouts if he can't knock down threes consistently.

Interesting. I see nothing in his post to indicate that.....
he thinks Avdalas will be like Curry. He is indicating that very good three point shooting is consistent with being able to be an NBA player.

Please hit brakes - He is not and will never be Curry.
Why didn't Curry sign with VT??? (Sorry I couldn't resist.) ** Edited by Lakeridgehokie at 11/4/2025, 11:29:47 AM

We've always avoided it but it's worth discussing... his parents were great
Hokies, yet he didn't come here. Why didn't we offer him a scholarship? I can't believe this has never been discussed before. TIC

It appeared his shots came with hesitation
He seems that 'pass first' is how he plays. Teams will play him accordingly by cutting off passing lanes. With that, if we clear out for his drives and take away help, he'll be able to finish at rim consistently. Think playing like Magic Johnson, not a great shooter but he kills you every other way.

Neo's jump shot mechanics are far better than Magic's. He'll develop...
a better pass vs shoot balance with more PT. Right now, he seems to have a pass first, second and third mentality.

Took 13 shots so not sure I agree

I get that, but sometimes he seems to be thinking pass as he shoots......
I think that's the hesitation that poster Uncle Ed was noticing.
