Go pro….It’s VT all the way.

... because I just have a hard time believing that a very high-level prospect like that would ever come to VT. My jaded viewpoint is that it may *look* like he's coming at this moment, but someone with humungous NIL money will step in at the last minute and whisk him away.
David and CC, who are also jaded and grounded in reality, feel that if Avdalas doesn't go to the NBA, he *will* come to Tech. He's looking to develop certain skills, he's sold that Mike Young and staff are best for that, he'll get oodles of playing time here in a good league, etc.
Harumph. Sounds too good to be true to me. We shall see.
Anyway, point being, guys that I trust are hearing the same thing your source said.

With a professional management team who have a clear plan and vision for his development and what is best for him. Seems they have decided that VT and Mike Young makes the most sense for him. Kudos to the coaching staff for making the sale.
Because it's an investment, right? They are sold on this plan. They believe it is their best chance to vault Neo up to the first round where he can make real, long term, NBA money. I imagine they don't want to squander their chances at that by going to a larger program with more draft stock/playing time competition just for some more money in the immediate. He's not some high school kid whose uncle or cousin or whoever is representing him, who is going to fall in love with some huge number that Kentucky or BYU or even SMU could offer. He is a legit pro who already makes money playing basketball. And by the way, it's not like he'd be playing for free by coming to VT. I am sure that he would be well compensated here (I have no inside info on this but I'm sure the number would be high six figures, if not more), which, regardless of what it is relative to what others are being paid, is a lot of money that will go a long way.
So yeah, it seems atypical that a guy of his caliber would be so sold on coming to VT, but this is an atypical situation. It tells me that the guy and his team have a good head on their collective shoulders and that they have larger goals here than just securing a hefty NIL deal (Which is the case for a lot of guys who are likely not NBA bound). Maybe I'm wrong. But I hope I'm not. And I don't think I am.

Until you know who has his ear, it's all a crapshoot for VT. Also, what is the timing of Frazier, Advalas and VT?
