But what makes 247 or whatever other service rank them higher than others is completely up to them. FWIW, I have stated before I don't see Ryan Jones as the same Top 70 recruit as, say, Rodney Rice who was similarly ranked. I think from a skill and impact perspective he is right in line with other players in the 80-120 range Now, what makes him rated higher than someone like John Ojiako or Patrick Wessler, he checks more boxes than them. Ojiako and Wessler are certainly both taller, but Jones is light years more physically ready than Wessler, which is about on par with Ojiako. Wessler has better touch than Ojiako, but Jones has better touch than both. He can also put the ball on the floor for a dribble or two (which would be a nightmare with the other two) and make the right play passing the ball. So... Strength - Jones, Ojiako, huge gap, Wessler Touch - Jones, Wessler, Ojiako Skill - Jones, huge gap, Wessler, Ojiako Shooting - Jones, gap, Wessler, gap, Ojiako Height - Wessler, Ojiako, Jones All three are similar in their mobility defensively, but I'd still probably give the nod to Jones I think if Patrick Wessler were 6'8, he might not be a D1 player. If Ryan Jones were 7'0, he'd be going to Kansas, Duke or Kentucky

From my amateur perspective looks like Jones is more polished than Buchanan was...

Buchanan was more of a 4 who could develop into a wing. Buchanan relies on his athleticism, whereas Jones is all strength. Jones is already a much better shooter at the same stage, and likely stays that way. Jones is a 5 all the way, not sure where others are getting he might be a 4

He plays pretty much exactly like his height

I had seen others suggest he might be a 4. That's not going to be the case

He probably shoots it a little better and slightly more than Omier, but Omier shot 31% from 3 last season, hustles, strong and good with his back to the basket
