T/F we would be undefeated if we had kept the 4 transfers who left (not
counting Rice)?. Between Pedulla, Kidd, Nickel and Collins that's roughly 2 million in NIL based on the rumors on this board

False that is last years team
Who was at best a NIT team and lost in the second round. Now if we had Rice with this team perhaps.

Were we undefeated last year?
What was our overall season record?

He is talking against the opponents we have played so far. Maybe we lose
to Xavier if we had beat Michigan.

Add the 5th transfer that left, including Rodney Rice, and
I’d say there would be a great case to be made that team would be undefeated now. I think only PSU would have had a chance to beat that team. ** Edited by NC Hoke at 11/29/2024, 9:11:07 PM

F because we don't have a true PG

I think Pedulla is a big upgrade from what we have now. And he scores to.

But the 4 we got to replace them would be averaging 35ppg elsewhere.

Pedulla and Kidd would make a huge difference on this team
I think Collins and Nickel have been replaced by Burnham and TJ respectively with our current duo being more well-rounded. Pedulla is much more efficient this year - shooting at a higher clip, fewer turnovers at the same minutes Kidd is not getting as many shots, but has a high FG%. He's the same dude. Collins isn't shooting as much nor is he playing as much. He's much more efficient from the field, but he's turning it over more and recording fewer assists in less minutes. Nickel still only makes 40% from the field and does little else.

F, we’d have lost to PSU, that being said with them we’re a tourney team
Accounting for the year over year improvement, add Johnson to the lineup and we’re looking pretty good. We still would’ve needed to take a guy like Burnham, but it’s an easier sell having that kind of production returning.

They are all playing well, and none was replaced by someone as good.

Kidd is only scoring 11 pts per game for Miami. They are 3-3
We would be better with Kidd, but he is not worth the money we would have needed to pay him. Nickel and Collins are solid for Vandy, but not world beaters. Pedulla has definitely been performing well for Miss. ** Edited by VT ChemE 1986 at 11/29/2024, 12:26:23 PM

He's also shooting 75% on low volume.. maybe Miami's coaching staff
isn't utilizing him as effectively as CMY. He doesn't seem like a focus / nexus of their offense like he would have been here. big downgrade at PG without Miller. wash at SG.. Schutt has better offensive skills but not as good a defender and lacks experience. Much higher ceiling than Collins downgrade at G/F.. Nickel has improved dramatically and while I think Burnham has better court vision but isn't much better defensively and is not as big an offensive threat. downgrade at C. our star freshman C is working back from injury and is .. a freshman. Poteat is a little better than last season, but would be even better splitting time with Kidd again.
