Unless they make the big dance. That change a few years back makes it much more difficult to make the NIT. I think we need to beat Duke to have a chance at the NIT.

Because we had a poor shooting night? We made 3 pretty BAD turnover mistakes that hurt when we had a chance to cut the lead to 2 BUT overall we played very hard on D…we just had a lot of tough bounces go to them for offensive boards…they’re just quicker to the ball than we are too.
We have to make 35% from 3 to have a chance and we didn’t
They have 23 yr old guards; 2 of our 4 are 19, one is barely 20

Miami is a very good team but our defense was poor. Miami could drive to the basket whenever they wanted. Our guys played hard but we have little, if any, top half of the ACC talent. We need athletes.

Literally everyone else in the ACC offensively. Our D to force them to shoot 42% was good overall, but of course they’re going to get by and get some layups when we’re overplaying the perimeter

IMO y'all are a NCAA Tourney team. Definitely one of the top 64/68 teams. If that does not happen, I could see y'all winning the NIT. You might think I am off my rocker, but I have seen enough to at least think it's a possibility.

little motivation to win a consolation prize might not be the best thing though. It's a looong season and ours has been disappointing...I can imagine a lot of players are kinda ready for it to end...or will be by the time we play 4-5 more games.
Sure, some more games (which, of course, actually could be just 1) for Rice would be nice...I'm not sure who else gets much benefit though.

Our fans were filling the seats cheering on the Hokies. This site had been infiltrated by the rot infestation from the subscriber and football boards.
