Catttor: injury update? And has he taken a step back this year he seems….
To be shooting less than he did last year. Perhaps it’s just me, but it appears he’s not the offensive threat that he was a year ago. Is it a new offence/system or is he just under performing? He’s so valuable that we need his contributions.

Pt takes a lot more shots. They come from somewhere. Not a criticism
just facts

He's having to play point guard, last year we had Murph & Pedulla. Cattoor
is a team player. I hope he heels fast, but he was in a lot of pain, so I am not sure.

The system is not new but it is still evolving this year. Hunter is not
getting a whole lot of looks.

Shooting the 3
A former VT MBB player friend of mine asked CMY recently with CMY’s motion offense Catoor needs to shoot more because he’s a really good shooter. CMY said Catoor is unselfish and doesn’t take his shot.

Yeah he only shoots 5-6 times a game from what I see

I would argue he has taken a step forward
He is terrific on defense. He and Mutts usually have the toughest assignments on D. With Hunter it is more than how many points he is scoring. The announcers love to gush about Mutts and I agree with that adulation. Myself though I like to gush about Hunter. He is our best decision maker on offense and also has the best feel for the game then anybody on the team. His shot selection is excellent. He is football tough with a high basketball IQ. He brings the best out of his teammates and this is where I see him taking a step forward. Pedulla, MJ Collins, and Maddox have all learned from watching Hunter.

I agree. Really good on D and he does more than just shoot 3's on O.

Working is rear end off on D. That's got to be getting to him a bit on the
offensive end of the floor, even more than last year

He’s been a focus of defensive game plans for opponents so he just does
Other things and only shoots when it comes within the flow. I think he’s playing pretty well. IMO I think we need to work to get him more shots but he’s he’s very valuable regardless of his scoring

Recently broke my radial head (elbow)…
Couldn’t keep my arm from trying to contract following going over the handle bars. I didn’t see hunter dealing with that when on bench per se but did see him holding that same area. And it looked eerily similar. The caveat here is I’m old. These kids bounce so am hoping just a deep contusion and he’ll be back in action in 10 days. Hope we’ll get an update soon.

Those endos will get after 'ya. That reflex is almost impossible to control
Hope it heals quickly and completely.

I don’t think it’s a step back, teams playing him more physically
He’s a known quality all around player with a quick trigger shot. Teams are playing him tighter. You can see it on his face that he thinks he should be getting some calls after getting beat up.

Great point. He’s not getting his shot as easily.
