Maddox - too fast
Maddox will be nice for being able to rise up quickly and get his shot off fast. Right now, it feels like he almost shooting too quickly...kind of rushed. I am sure his % will normalize. People will focus on the 50% from 3 last year. That will be hard to replicate. But right watching him 2 games, it feels like he sometimes shoots too fast.

I could be wrong, but with all the kids playing I think he hasn't had time to get in a rhythm. Hunter too.

potentially shooting, your shots might not steadily. So yeah, it might be hard to get into a rhythm.
Basile, Mutts, Pedulla, Cattoor, Maddox...are all going to shoot alot. Each will score varyingly during the year, depending on who gets hot

in end, averages are averages for a reason. Most players revert or rise to the norm over time. They key is to be on the rise when it matters most, like he did last year.

Mutts at the top of the key and Basile underneath is a recipe for a LOT of open 3s. For whatever reason, that hasn't been a focus in the two games so far this season. But I guarantee we'll have ACC/big OOC games where Cattoor and/or Maddox light it up from the corners.

from a timing prospective. Remember how Bebe used to release the ball on his way down?

His shot hasn’t changed at all. His percentage is fine and no reason it shouldn’t stay that way. He’s very consistent in his form.

Hence, his nickname "AutoMaddox".

Maddox is trying hard to prove that he can take people off the dribble / take it to the rim, but at the end of the day he’s a spot up 3 guy. I wish he were more like Isaiah Wong, but that’s asking a bit much.

I'd say his forays into taking his man off the dribble have been successful
meanwhile he has not made a 3pt basket in 2 games
