I think Women recruits are closer to being true student athletes than men

sounds harsh but it's the reality especially as there isn't as much money in Women's pro sports. Academics, support, family type environment, safety are probably more important. Thus why we don't see rural schools with a disadvantage. Of course as we get more NIL money in the Women's game there will be a small number of recruits who will go towards where the money is (look at LSU and USC).

So women’s families prioritize family and men’s families don’t as much? **
HoodatB 03/14/24 01:37 PM ET
Not all, but I believe some do, parents tend to protect daughters more ..

Not as much much family atmosphere as safe environment**

Perhaps VT should cut back on number of sports if $$ is an issue
40ozDistrict 03/14/24 01:04 PM ET
That isn't as easy as it might sound. Reductions in sports would likely
mghokie 03/14/24 02:26 PM ET
Keep FB, Basketball, Wrestling, Track, then the 4 cheapest of the rest.
