Well, there is one main difference...
When Kenny Brooks recruits Elizabeth Kitley, he's just recruiting Liz and Ralph, basically. When Mike Young is recruiting Rodney Rice, he has to hire his high school coach, and also make other members of the recruiting entourage happy. Rice's natural inclination was to stay, and the fact that he did stay after Mike Jones left shows as much. But I think he had enough other people pulling him in the other direction that at the first sign of adversity, he folded. Meanwhile, Kitley and Amoore don't have outside influences trying to talk them into transferring.
The women's game hasn't blown up to the point where recruiting has gone past the traditional stuff. I guess it has in a very few small cases, but those are just a very few exceptions. I know many are hoping the sport continues to grow and becomes as popular as the men's game, but I'll warn you that if that happens the more unsavory element of recruiting will also be introduced. The more money something is worth, the more hangers on it will attract, and thus the more corrupt it will be.
